Timothy R. Hale, President
With more than 20 years in the advertising industry, including five years as CEO of one of the top music production companies in the US, Tim has worked on flagship campaigns for McDonald’s, Anheuser-Busch, Hallmark, Sears and Kraft through agencies including Leo Burnett, DDB, Ogilvy and JWT. While working on an MBA at DePaul University in Chicago, Tim studied database management systems and software development, eventually writing several software programs still in use by leading advertising agencies and commercial production companies.
In 2000, Tim founded Spotlight Business Affairs, Inc. to provide advertising agencies and advertisers with exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced broadcast support managers, leveraged with leading edge technology.
Marian Davis, VP, Director of Broadcast Traffic & Network Clearance
Marian has an outstanding history in advertising that includes 18 years as head of broadcast traffic at Broadcast Traffic & Residuals (BT&R), where she built the department from its inception to become the leading independent broadcast traffic service in the US. Marian also oversees Spotlight’s Network Clearance group, which manages this critical process from storyboard through final master for numerous US, Canadian and European clients.
Jo Ann Kessler, Director of Broadcast Business Affairs
Jo Ann joined Spotlight after more than 20 years as director of broadcast business affairs at Grey Advertising, with extensive experience in managing broadcast business issues for major global brands. Jo Ann’s background includes leadership roles in numerous industry organizations, including serving as co-chair of the Joint Policy Committee — the group appointed by the AAAA and the ANA to negotiate the collective bargaining agreements between advertisers and SAG, AFTRA and the AFM.
